Punna Hingminnasi Group extends financial aid

Punna Hingminashi Group (PHG) has extended financial assistance of Rs 13,000 to the family of Dibiya Moirangthem of Kairembikhok Awang Leikai, who has been suffering from aplastic anaemia and is currently undergoing medical treatment.
Dibiya, a 10-year-old girl, has been battling the lifethreatening condition for some time, placing severe financial strain on her family.
Speaking in this connection, PHG general secretary Th Brajeshor Singh stated that the family solely depends on the income of Dibiya's mother, earned through attending marriage ceremonies.
Following the diagnosis, the family was compelled to sell their lands and is now left with only the plot on which their house stands.
He said that learning about the child's condition and the hardships faced by the family through social media, the group decided, on humanitarian grounds, to extend monetary support to help them cope with the ongoing medical expenses.
Member of the organisation, led by PHG president Th Ibocha Singh, along with advisor O Sunil; former president of PHG P Shantikumar; vice-presidents T Subol, S Ibobi; joint secretary A Akela; treasurer M Biken, publicity secretary L Santosh; and other members, visited the residence of the ailing child and formally handed over the monetary assistance to her family.
