Assam Rifles conducts cleanliness drive

Imphal, May 05 2025: As part of its continued commitment to community welfare and environmental sustainability, Assam Rifles conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive at Sajik Tampak village, Chandel district, Manipur.

As per a release issued by the IGAR (S), the event witnessed active participation from villagers, village authorities, youth representatives and troops of the Assam Rifles with the aim to instil a sense of keenness towards cleanliness, promote sustainable waste management practices and contribute to a healthier living environment.

This initiative also aligns with Government advisories emphasizing hygiene and sanitation to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases such as dengue, malaria, and cholera which are common during the premonsoon and monsoon periods.
