CRPF strengthens community outreach through Civic Action Programme

The Central Reserve Police Force's Civic Action Programmes continue to foster stronger communitysecurity force relations by bridging the gap between local populations and security personnel through welfare activities and development support.
Today, the 189 Battalion CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme at Thangmeiband United Youth Club (TUYC), Khomdram Selungba Leikei, Imphal West to strengthen community outreach.
As part of the programme, a Pink Toilet was constructed and handed over to the community, ensuring dignity, privacy, safety and hygiene for women.
The programme was graced by dignitaries, including Harishankar Maurya, 2IC, 189 Bn CRPF; L Ibotombi Singh, retired Brigadier, CRPF; Moirangthem Thomas, vice president, TUYC; and Meira Paibi leader Kh Mala Devi.
At the event, Harishankar Maurya reaffirmed that CRPF stands with the people in both joy and hardship and encouraged effective use of the assets provided.
The villagers appreciated the people-centric efforts of 189 Bn, CRPF.
Officials, jawans of CPPF and locals of Thangmeiband area actively participated in the event.
