Imphal, February 03 2026: In view of the ongoing laying of SPC (short panel concrete) and construction of rigid pavement and line drain project in Imphal West, the Traffic Control Police Wing is set to enforce temporary traffic arrangements from February 4 until the completion of construction work.

As per a traffic advisory issued by Chiphang Cecelia Sopemla, MPS, SP, Traffic Control Police Wing, one-side of the road will be closed along the northern side of Dingku Road, northern side of New Assembly Road, western side of Thangmeiband Road (from Watham Leirak to Khoyathong) and northern side of Uripok Kangchup Road (from Laishram Leirak to flyover).

Additionally, to facilitate traffic movement, the opposite sides of the following roads will function as double-way roads- southern side of Dingku Road, southern side of New Assembly Road, eastern side of Thangmeiband Road (from Watham Leirak to Khoyathong) and southern side of Uripok to Kangchup Road (from Laishram Leirak to flyover).

The advisory has also requested all residents, shopkeepers, establishments and the public to not park vehicles along the above-mentioned double way road stretches as any roadside parking will obstruct traffic flow and cause congestion.
