Indian Army flags off National Integration Tour for women entrepreneurs from Bishnupur

The National Integration Tour (NIT) 2025-26, organised under the aegis of the Red Shield Division, was flagged off today, marking the beginning of a nine-day exposure journey aimed at fostering cultural exchange, professional learning and national unity.
According to a release issued by the Indian Army, the tour comprises 10 women participants accompanied by 2 staff members from the Cosmetic Centre, Phubala and Yam Bank, Tronglaobi, Bishnupur district - both established under the Operation Sadbhavana initiative.
The tour is being conducted in collaboration with Aseem Foundation, a Pune-based NGO working in education, entrepreneurship, and community development.
Over the nine days, the participants will travel to Mumbai and Pune, where they will be introduced to diverse cultural, professional, and urban environments.
A key component of the programme includes a series of vocational and entrepreneurship workshops facilitated by Aseem Foundation.
These sessions will offer hands-on skills training, interactions with professionals, and exposure to real world business practices.
The Indian Army which conceptualised and launched the tour programme, aims to promote national integration while strengthening social bonds across regions .
By enabling participants to engage with new ideas and environments, the tour seeks to build confidence, broaden perspectives, and encourage self-reliant livelihoods.
The initiative underscores the Army's commitment not only to national security but also to nurturing social harmony, inclusive development, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
