Recruitment process in Power Dept cancelled

Imphal, September 02 2025: The recruitment process started in the year2019 for various posts in the MSPCL and MSPDCL has been cancelled.

This was informed by Deputy Secretary (Power) Maisnam Chinglembi Luwang in a letter to the Managing Director, MSPCL/MSPDCL today.

While the recruitment has been cancelled, in its place, a fresh recruitment will be initiated through the Staff Selection Commission, it said.

This decision was taken by the Governor-in-Council on August 14 .

All candidates who had applied and appeared in the earlier recruitment process (advertised in 2019) would be allowed to appear in the fresh examination free of cost, and they would be granted one-time age relaxation beyond the normal upper age limit, considering the delay and time lapse, informed the letter.

The Power Department would prepare and forward a fresh requisition of posts to the Commission as per the current requirement, it added.
