Imphal, September 01 2025: A new conglomerate body called "Mongba Hanba Khubam Kanba Apunba Luptin (MHKKAL), Manipur state" was constituted today during a meeting held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The "Meeyamgi Achumba Warep Meefam" organised by the Lainingthou Mongba Hanba Thougallup (LMHT) was attended by representatives of religious organisations and CSOs.

As per a release issued by LMHT, a number of topics/ issues were discussed at the meeting including ways to protect and preserve the Lainingthou Mongba Hanba Khubam.

The meeting also unanimously resolved to appoint Chingangbam Nandalal Angomcha (LMHT) as convenor and Laitonjam Nabakanta (Nongdam Sanglen Wakka), Yumkhaibam Bimol Meitei, Oinam Pulemba Khuman (Hung Shidaba Lainingkol, Keirenphabi), Moirangthem Jiban Singh (Eepanat Eepunat Eekallasi, Kangleipak), Khundrakpam Romio (Eepanat Eepunat Eekallasi, Kangleipak) and Yaiphama Yumlembam (MSSAL) as co-convenors.

Keisham Ibomcha Mangang (Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board), Chanam Parihal Meitei (Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup), Chanambam Nabakumar (Dolaithabi Chingu Khubam Thougal Lup Khongnangthaba Lainingkol), Elangbam Shyamjai (Eepanat Eepunat Eekallasi, Kangleipak), Epu Lamyanba, Kshetrimayum Chingpi (Thouburembi Nongdam Sanglen) and Oinam Samu (Lainingthou Khagemba Laikol) were also appointed as advisors.
