Training prog concludes

The ten days training cum workshop programme on 'Self Defence for women', which was organised jointly by Women's Studies Centre, S Kula Women's College, Nambol and HULA Sindamsang, Keishamthong on November 7 concluded today.
Manipur State Commission for Women Dr K Sobita Devi, S Kula Women's College governing body president N Ibomcha Singh and HULA Sindamsang president Dr LK Singh, HULA Sindamshang Principal M Arunkumar Singh, Principal of S Kula Women's College Dr N Joykumar Singh and Director Women's Studies Centre Dr W Kunjarani Chanu attended the closing ceremony as dignitaries.
The training programme cum workshop demonstrated different techniques and moves of self defence for women.
A total of 30 students of the College and HULA Sindamshang instructor participated in the training .
The trainees demonstrated different styles of defence techniques during the event.
The trainees will also showcase their moves during the Sangai festival also.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Sobita Devi stressed on the importance to learn defence mechanism especially when crime against women are soaring in the State.
She also stressed on the importance of maintaining discipline and proper values.
