Imphal, July 29 2026: As part of the 61st Chaklam Khongchat Ningshing Thouram, the All Manipur Students' Union held an Academic Campaign at Keishamthong High School on Wednesday.

AMSU vice-president Naorem Wangamba, who attended the campaign, spoke on issues faced by the public and the steps students' community must take to address them.

He said the Government's plan to conduct house listing from August 17 cannot proceed without first updating the NRC.

Wangamba added that AMSU has long been raising its voice against injustice and has sacrificed lives for the land.

It is unfortunate that today's leaders are unable to take proper decisions and actions for future generations.

He warned that if the Government continues to ignore public grievances, AMSU will strongly oppose it and has already done so in the past.

Teachers and students of Keishamthong High School along with AMSU members also took part in the campaign.
