Kangpokpi/Tengnoupal, May 29 2026:
Continuing its extensive wellness campaign ahead of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Assam Rifles on May 29 conducted synchronized yoga sessions in Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal districts as part of the nationwide 100-day run-up programme.
At the Waroiching base in Kangpokpi district, an intensive physical routine and awareness drive mobilized 23 serving soldiers who were educated on the origins and therapeutic significance of the ancient discipline, specifically its practical applications in managing stress, sharpening cognitive concentration and building emotional resilience.
Simultaneously, Assam Rifles extended this vibrant health mandate to the sensitive border village of Kwatha in Tengnoupal district.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a combined strength of 46 individuals, including security personnel and 30 local children.
By directly targeting far-flung border populations and troops, these impactful sociocivic interactions successfully established yoga as a vital tool for personal discipline, social harmony and long-term public well-being.
