MP inaugurates common workshed

Imphal, October 26 2025: MP Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam inaugurated a Common Workshed at Ideal Girls' College, Akampat Relief Camp.

The common workshed was constructed under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) 2025-26 .

The newly constructed workshed has been designed to serve as a shared workspace for the inmates of the relief camp with the aim to provide them with a place to undertake various livelihood and income-generating activities.

This initiative aims to encourage self-reHance and restore a sense of dignity and economic agency among the displaced families.

The project reflects the MP's continued commitment to empowering displaced communities and fostering resilience through meaningful, community-driven development, said his office in a statement.
