BSF organises Mega Blood Donation Camp

The Sector Headquarters BSF, Manipur, in collaboration with the Regional Institute ofMedi-cal Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a Mega Blood Donation Camp today at the BSF Camp, Koirengei, reflecting the Force's deep commitment to humanitarian service.
As per a release issued by Frontier HQ BSF M&C, the event held under the overall supervision of Ravi Kant, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Frontier HQ M&C, saw enthusiastic participation from BSF personnel across all ranks.
The Deputy Inspector General, Sector Manipur, along with the Chief Medical Officer (SG), Combined Hospital, and his medical team ensured smooth conduct of the camp.
A total of 200 Officers and Jawans voluntarily donated blood, significantly strengthening the reserves of RIMS Hospital.
The blood collected will be a vital lifeline for accident victims, patients in critical conditions, and those undergoing major surgeries across the State.
On the occasion, the DIG, Sector Manipur, said, "Each unit of blood donated today is a gift of life.
We are proud of our personnel for their selfless participation" .
"Guided by our IG BSF Frontier HQ M&C and supported by RIMS, this initiative reflects the true spirit of the BSF service beyond duty", he added.
