CJM sends one to judicial custody

Imphal, May 26 2026:
A person accused of breaking in at a Delhivery warehouse and stealing around Rs 1.7 lakh cash has been sent to judicial custody.
The accused identified as Ingudam Manoranjan (42) was produced before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West today after completion of the police custody period.
Ingudam Manoranjan is a staff of Delhivery warehouse.
In the Court of the CJM, the prosecutor submitted that the accused broke into dock number 5 of the warehouse on May 13 at around 1.50 am and stole a locker.
In the same morning at around 9.30, he took the locker to a workshop at Hatta and broke it open to steal around Rs 1,70,000 .
He allegedly used the money to pay off debts.
To destroy evidence, the prosecutor said Manoranjan threw the locker into the Nambul River on the evening of May 14 .
The Court after hearing the submission of APP and on perusal of the case record, remanded the accused to judicial custody for swift investigation of the case.
