5th National Voters Day observed in Tamenglong Dist

Tamenglong, January 25 2015: The District Administer Tamenglong on Sunday organized a quiz competition in connection with the 5th National Voters Day at the DC Office Complex, Tamenglong.

Pounakumbou Newmei, THSSS, Ashok Kumar Yadev, KV Tamenglong and Rajan Kumar Gupta KV bagged first, second and third respectively.

Akhina Dangmei of JNV bagged consolation prizes.

National Voters Day was also observed at Tamei sub- Division Headquarter.

Hannah Kamei, MCS SDO Tamenglong read out the voter's pledge and distributed voter EPIC card.

The SDO talked on voter's right during the function which was participated by Women Front, village authorities from surrounding and various social leaders of Tamei sub-division.

Young Voters festival cum Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was held at the deputy commissioner office complex Tamenglong on Saturday and conducted extempore speech competition and various games and sports.

Kopaguangliu Panmei, Reigning Miss Orange Queen 2014 was selected as Miss Youth Icon for Young Voters festival cum Systematic Voters Education.

Damthuilung Newmei, Akhina Dangmei and Pounakum bagged first, second and third position in the extempore speech competition.

In the meantime, the staff of Tamei PHC and Block Management Unit Tamei Block has conveyed a sincere gratitude to Hannah Kamei, MCS, Sub- Divisional Officer Tamei for donating one godrej and Langmei Village Authority and Tamah Village Authority for donating one each table for Tamei PHC.

"These donated materials will go a long way in delivering quality health services to the people.
