SDPO Chingtham Anand's 53rd birth anniversary held

Imphal, November 24 2025: The 53rd birth anniversary of martyred Chingtham Anand, Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Moreh was held today at Porompat TV Tower Relief Camp, Imphal East with the participation of IDPs from Moreh staying at the camp.

The SDPO was gunned down on October 31, 2023, while he was overseeing the construction of a helipad at Eastern Shine School ground, Moreh.

Family of the deceased police officer and elders of Moreh recounted notable efforts made by the SDPO for the welfare of Moreh and Manipur people.

During his posting at Moreh, the late SDPO organised many sports and education programmes for the youth.

As a part of today's event, the family of Ch Anand distributed simple gifts to the IDPs from Moreh and prayers were offered for the martyred soul to rest in eternal peace.
