AMKTPWA performs Langban Heisoi Tamba ritual

Imphal, September 22 2025: The All Manipur Kidney Transplant Patients Welfare Association (AMKTPWA) on Sunday performed the "Langban Heisoi Katpa" ritual for the first time, offering prayers and tributes to honour deceased members of the association.

The ceremony was held at the banks of Khongjom River located at Khongjom War Memorial Complex.

Speaking in this connection, Media advisor of the Association, Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh explained that the ritual was performed through contributions from members and family members of the departed.

He further noted that the association intends to hold the ceremony annually as a mark of respect and remembrance for late members.

Dr Lanajit also urged kidney transplant recipients to join the association, emphasizing the importance of building a supportive community where members can share both their joys and sorrows.
