173 Bn CRPF organises CAP in Senapati

Senapati, December 21 2025:
The D/173 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme on Saturday at the D/173 Bn CRPF ADC Complex.
Senapati, under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26 .
During the programme, essential items including water storage tanks and solar lamps were distributed to poor and needy families from the villages of TNK, Emisiiphro, T/Khullen, Khamson, Tadubi, Makhreluii and Karong.
Assistance was also extended to non-profit organisations working for the welfare of orphans and widows.
Speaking on the occasion, TC Kikon, Assistant Commandant and OC D/173 Bn CRPF, emphasised the commitment of the CRPF towards community service through the Civic Action Programme.
He stated that such initiatives play a vital role in bridging the gap between security forces and the local populace.
A total of 54 households, including one CCM institution caring for nearly 147 orphans, 18 widows and around 145 family members, benefited from the programme.
The initiative was widely appreciated by local beneficiaries.
The event was attended by chairmen and secretaries of various village councils and other local dignitaries, including Dr Robin Raomai Heni, president of CCM; Rev Dr Stevenson Ngata, president of BSI Senapati; Dr Johnson Th, Veterinary Officer, DVO Senapati, among others.
