Skill development programme ends

Imphal, November 21 2025:
A 15-day skill development training programme on "Tailoring and Cutting" successfully concluded today at the auditorium of Maharaja Garibaniwaj Memorial (MGM) Club in Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal.
The programme was jointly organised by MGC Club and 32 Battalion CRPF, Loktak, under the aegis of IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF.
The closing function was graced by dignitaries, including H Premjit Meitei, DIG Range Imphal, CRPF; Rajesh Kumar, 2i/c, 32 Bn CRPF; Parbhat Saini.
DC, 32 Bn CRPF; and Kh Jayanta Singh, president, MGC Club.
Speaking on the occasion, H Premjit said that the training programme was conducted with the aim to enhance vocational skills and create transformative livelihood opportunities for the local residents, particularly women, thereby promoting self-reliance and community development.
He emphasized that such initiatives reflect the inherent spirit of the Civic Action Programme as a welfare measure for local people, aimed at bridging the gap between the forces and civilians and bringing qualitative improvement to the lives of the community.
He also stressed that the CRPF is fully committed to its social responsibilities and will continue to organise similar Civic Action Programmes in the future to support and uplift local communities.
As part of the event, the DIG distributed certificates to the trainers and trainees of the skill development programme.
He also handed over sewing machines, scissors and other items.
