Farmers' Field Day held at Khoijuman

Bishnupur, July 21 2025: A Farmers' Field Day was successfully organised at Khoijuman by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bishnupur District, Utlou today.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr P Bijaya Devi, Subject Matter Specialist Horticulture, KVK Bishnupur.

Altogether 35 farmers from various villages of Bishnupur district participated in the program.

S Sushila, District Officer, Horticulture & Soil Conservation Bishnupur also attended the programme as a special invitee.

During the program, an interactive session was held focussing on the scientific cultivation of Ridge Gourd var Arka Sujat for high returns to farmers.

The program also emphasized the aims and objectives of the ICAR - Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, under the NEH programme.

The initiative aims not only to popularize IIHR's scientifically developed horticultural varieties in the region but also to improve farm incomes and promote sustainable vegetable cultivation in the North Eastern region of India.
