Worskhop enlightens students on ways to pursue fully funded higher education in South Korea

Imphal, February 21 2026:
A one-day workshop on 'Fully funded higher education opportunities for international students in South Korea' was held under the aegis of International Affairs Cell of Dhanamanjuri University at DM College of Science in Imphal on Saturday.
Sharing his opening remark during the workshop, Dhanamanjuri University Vice Chancellor Prof W Chandbabu said that the workshop was organised in an effort to connect the students with the Korean institutes for their further studies and other job opportunities as there are huge opportunities.
Prof Chandbabu also spoke about the Korean Sejong Institute Imphal Centre at DM University campus in Imphal.
The institute in Imphal is directly run by the Korean Cultural Centre India and it provides quality Korean language education by Korean native speakers apart from introducing various cultural programs for the lovers of K-culture.
Delivering his talk on further study opportunities in Korean Universities, Dr Minjae Park, Operational Personnel at King Sejong Institute Imphal and representative of Korea Cultural Centre, Embassy of South Korea in New Delhi encouraged the students to use global platforms for a wider perspective for a bright future.
He also shared a number of Government and private sponsored student scholarships (including Global Korea Scholarship) which can fully fund academic careers in Korea.
Dr Park also informed that there are four Korean Language Education centres in four universities in North Eastern States.
The universities are North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Dibrugarh University, Manipur University and Nagaland University.
Dr Jiten Nongmaithem, Principal Scientist at Samsung SDI Suwon, South Korea encouraged the young graduates of the State to pursue higher studies in Korea.
