Mera Hou Chongba Festive Fair wraps up

Imphal, October 20 2025: The Mera Hou Chongba Festival Fair 2025 (Hathkargha Mela) organised by the District Handloom & Textiles, Imphal East come to a close today at the Iboyaima Shumang Leela Sanglen, Imphal East district.

The closing function was graced by dignitaries, including Ch Indira Devi, National Awardee (Design); Th Basanta Singh, Deputy Director "(Handloom), Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles; Y Jagyashwori Devi Deputy Director (Handicrafts), Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles; Longjam Ratan Kumar, advisor, HERICOUN; and Senthil Kumar from Weavers Service Centre, Imphal.

The Fair which commenced on October 7, highlighted the rich tradition of handloom and textiles, showcasing authentic products from various Government-supported handloom clusters.
