Imphal, August 19 2025:
The Manipur Drivers' Association (MDA) has announced that vehicular movement has resumed on the Chakhabama-Kidima-Mao bypass road, which was temporarily closed for repairs.
Speaking to the media at Kwakeithel, MDA secretary Sanjoy Kshetrimayum said that Chakhabama-Kidima-Mao bypass has been used as an alternate route to bring goods and supplies to Manipur following the landslide at Phesama in Nagaland.
He stated that the road was repaired by the MDA and like-minded organizations after its condition deteriorated.
Saying that some trucks have begun plying along the route again, he urged all transporters to refrain from carrying overweight cargo.
