Bishnupur, May 18 2025: 12 active members of Janata Dal United JD (U) of 26/36 Ningthoukhong Municipal Council Ward No 4 who have joined BJP were accorded a warm reception by BJP Bishnupur Mandal at its office at Ningthoukhong under Bishnupur district today.

Following the reception, the Mandal also organised a Tiranga Yatra at Ningthoukhong to show solidarity with the Armed Forces engaged in the Operation Sindoor.

Speaking at the event, MLA Govindas Konthoujam stated that the Yatra was organised to express support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to extend solidarity to the armed forces who were engaged in the Operation Sindoor.

He also expressed happiness over the 12 JDU members joining the BJP, believing in the party's ideology and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP Manipur Pradesh, general secretary K Sharatkumar, BJP Bishnupur Mandal president, N Raghumani and other members of the BJP attended the event.
