22nd Restoration Day observed

Bishnupur, May 17 2025: As observed annually, the 22nd Restoration Day was solemnized today at Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang Laikol.

The day marks the restoration of Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang to the people of Moirang from the hands of Meitei Kanglei Ningthou.

The 16 eminent personalities including former Chief Minister M Koireng and former Education Minister H Nilamani Singh who led the restoration movement were also honoured during the 22nd Restoration Day ceremony.

Floral tributes were offered on the memorial stone of the 16 brave individuals.

Family members of the deceased restoration movement leaders were also present at the event.

Thangjing Seva Mandal Moirang, Ingu Phamnaiba Amasung Phamnaibi Cheirap Loishang and Amaiba Amaibi Loishang jointly organised the event.
