Imphal, March 16 2026:
Applicants from the 2019 batch of the MSPDCL/MSPCL recruitment exam have urged the State Government to revoke the exam's cancellation and release long-pending results immediately.
Voicing frustration at a press conference today at the Manipur Press Club, Manoj Yumkhaibam, representing the 2019 batch candidates, informed that the exam, notified in 2019 and held in January 2020, saw its process allegedly complete - pending only results - before the Governor in Council abruptly canceled it in September 2025 for unexplained reasons.
He noted repeated assurances, including from the then Power Minister during the 2024 Assembly Session promising declaration by December 2024 .
"This unjustifiable delay has age-barred many from other jobs", he said, appealing for swift reversal.
In a related development, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) for 2020-2021 Education (S) Pre-Primary Teacher recruits demanded results for 120 posts under the Directorate of Education (S) .
The written test was completed approximately five years ago, yet the results have not been announced.
In a press release, the JAC questioned the underlying reasons for this significant delay, especially given that results for other graduate teacher positions from the same period have already been declared.
The JAC further called on the new Government and Chief Minister to intervene and resolve the "unacceptable" holdup.
