Bishnupur, July 15 2025: Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam chaired a general body meeting of the District Hospital Management Society today at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The key highlight of the meeting was the discussion on upgradation of the District Hospital and its infrastructure.

A detailed PowerPoint presentation of the annual report and financial statements spanning 2022 to June 2025, along with updates on OPD/IPD, OT/ICU services, and other key hospital functions was presented in the meeting by concerned officials and it was thoroughly reviewed by the DC.

Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam assured full support from the District Administration in the improvement efforts, emphasizing the importance of enhancing public health services.

The DC suggested strategies for the efficient use and maintenance of hospital properties and urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination for the better functioning of the hospital.

The meeting was also attended by committee members including elected representatives, SDO Bishnupur, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent, Secretary PRDA, President of Lions Club Bishnupur, DFWO Bishnupur and social workers, among others.
