Schools told to follow Govt academic calendar

Imphal, May 15 2025: All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA), Manipur has stressed that the 'Uniform Academic Calendar', which was notified by the Directorate of Education (S) for schools under it on January 25, should be followed by all schools.

In a release, AMRPSWA secretary P Romen Singh pointed out that the notification informed in advance the 'Academic Activities with Schedule' to be followed by all the schools.

Expressing remorse that certain schools are conducting academic activities in violation of the government guidelines, and not adhering to the summer vacation schedule, the Association said such blatant disregard to order of the authority concerned is unwarranted, and suggested that member schools and other private school abide by the notification.

AMRPSWA further cautioned that it should not be held responsible in case the rogue schools face unwanted situation.
