Imphal, March 15 2026: The 4th Bachu Unique Creation (BUC) Costume Contest and Certificate Distribution ceremony unfolded successfully today at Chandrakriti Auditorium in Palace Compound.

The event, organised by the Bachu Unique Creation (BUC), was graced by dignitaries, including Khumanthem Diana, Director, Transport Department; Thokchom Biramangol Singh, Managing Director, Eastern Sewing House; and social worker Kongbam Jackson.

According to BUC's proprietor Bachapan Pangambam, the contest aimed to showcase Manipur's traditional attire and designs globally, with certificates awarded to all costume-making trainees.

The event featured a traditional show by Priyangka Huidrom, best designer from BUC 3rd edition, and a casual show by Anjali Khumbong-mayum, 2nd best designer.

Winners of the contest are - Dhaneshwori Asem (Best Designer) and Joshila Heisnam (model), Melody Nongmaithem (2nd Best Designer) and Pahelli Nongthombam (model), Chungkham Omibala (2nd Runners-up Designer) and Wahengbam Goldpriya (model), and Khristina Kshetrimayum (Best Blouse).

Subtitle winners - Radharani Sapam (Best Trainee), Goldi Oinam (Best Discipline), Khulakpam Monalisha (Best Diligence), Omibala Chungkham (Best Talented), Joshila Heisnam (Best Ideal Beauty) and Pahelli Nongthombam (Star of Evening BUC).

The contest was supported by several sponsors, including Eastern Sewing House, Kabui Salang Maiba Healthcare Private Limited (KASAM), Moms Catering, Singel Menongs, Makae Semlashi, Panthoibi Sinai, and Dorendro Memorial Higher Secondary School, Heirok.

Makeup for the show was provided by Abung Surjit Make-up Studio, and the show director was Chitrakanan Thoudam.
