Imphal, December 14 2024: Two persons were shot at and killed by unknown miscreants at Keirak under Kakching police station today at around 5 pm .

The deceased have been identified as Sunalal Kumar (18), s/o Virender Kumar and Dasharat Kumar (17), s/o Mohan Sani.

Both of them hailed from Rajwahi village, Bihar and were engaged in construction work under one Prabhu Yadav, also from Bihar.

It is reported that the duo were staying in a rented house at Kakching Khunyai Leikai near CPI office.

They were shot along National Highway 137(A) at Keirak Yawabung when they were returning to their rooms on bicycles from Wabagai Keithel Macha.

It is reported that five bf them were returning from Wabagai Keithel Macha after completing the work for the day and the two deceased were in the front.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the killing.

Soon after the firing, a team of Kakching police evacuated the two persons to Jivan Hospital but the doctors declared that they were brought dead.

A case has been registered at Kakching police.
