Imphal, July 14 2025: Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF) Manipur has conferred the "Dr Thiyam Suresh Literary Award" for the year 2025 to eminent writer Moirangthem Rajendra on Monday.

The award distribution ceremony held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul was graced by Dr Thangjam Dhabali, chairman & managing director of Babina Groups; Naoroibam Lhamba Luwang, president of PAWF; and Nongmaithem Kirankumar, former convenor, Manipur Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi as presidium members.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10000, citation, memento and a shawl.

The award is sponsored by the family of RK Tamphasana Devi in memory of her husband Late Dr Thiyam Suresh, a scholar and former Director of Health Services Manipur, who passed away from COVID-19 on May 23, 2021 .

Dr Thiyam Suresh was also a patron member of PAWF .

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to Manipuri literature.
