Imphal, August 13 2025:
The proscribed KCP has appealed to all the people of Kangleipak to boycott the celebrations of the Independence Day of India on August 15 .
Having been brought under its illegal occupation by the Union of India under the guise of Manipur Merger Agreement 1949, Kangleipak remains deprived of its inalienable right to self determination.
During the long occupation of Kangleipak with the help of the so called counter-insurgency forces, the people of Kangleipak have been subjected to all forms of injustice and violence, said a press release issued by KCP Information & Public Relations Department Secretary M Punsiba Meitei.
"However, the brutality of the Indian rule of Kangleipak has failed to deter us from pursuing our legitimate national goals", it said.
Under those circumstances, it would be grossly inappropriate for the people of Kangleipak to celebrate the Independence day of India, the outfit added.
