Imphal, July 13 2024: The 16th & 17th Hawaibam Nilamani Memorial Award 2023 and 2024 distribution ceremony was held today at the auditorium of Rupmahal Theatre, BT Road, Imphal today.

The 16th Hawaibam Nilamani Memorial Award for the year 2023 was given to renowned actor & filmmaker Khwairakpam Bishwamitra while the 17th Hawaibam Nilamani Memorial Award for the year 2024 was presented to noted director & choreographer Hiesnam Tomba.

The awards carry a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a shawl.

The award distribution ceremony was attended by Mongjam Joy Singh, Commissioner, Art & Culture Department, Government of Manipur; L Brajamohon, vice chairman, Rupmahal Theatre and Sunanda Thokchom, Secretary, Manipur State Kala Akademi as presidium members.
