Rhythms of Manipur celebrates Foundation Day

Imphal, July 11 2025: The Rhythms of Manipur celebrated its 40th Foundation Day at the Manipuri Jagoi Marup Golden Jubilee Stage in Lamboikhongnangkhong yesterday.

The grand occasion also marked a decade of the group's popular ensemble, "Dancing Drummers".

The celebration was graced by dignitaries, including P Bilash, Director, JNMDA; Likmabam Manibabu Singh, president Rhythms of Manipur; and eminent mime theatre director Dr Y Sadananda Singh.

The celebration began with a welcome address by founder artist Rajkumar Sanataomba.

Addressing the gathering, P Bilash stressed on the importance of performing arts and lauded the Rhythms of Manipur for carrying the legacy of Manipuri music to various national & international platforms over the last four decades.

The Director also acknowledged the group's efforts in empowering women through their musical productions.

Felicitation of founding members, composers, and a special performance by Dancing Drummers were the main highlights of the event.
