Imphal, March 11 2025: The Rongmei Naga People's Organisation (RNPO) has reiterated the decision of the Executive Council to impeach the president of the Rongmei Naga People's Organisation (RNPO) .

The RNPO in a release has stated that, as per the Constitution of the Rongmei Naga People's Organization (RNPO), the speaker of the RNPO does not have any power to declare any order, press release, resolutions passed by the Executive Council as null and void.

"The speaker of the organization cannot assume the power of the Executive Council as per the organization constitution and such the unilateral information dated March 7, 2025 released by the speaker of the organization without the consultation and concurrence of the Executive of the RNPO cannot withstand and is against the mandates of the organization," stated RNPO .

Thus, the earlier notification issued by the Speaker on March 7 is quashed and the resolution made in the press media dated March 1 is reaffirmed, asserted Thuingamlung Phaomei, general secretary of RNPO .
