TIC celebrates 71st Foundation Day

Imphal, February 11 2026: The 71st Foundation Day of Thangmeiband Improvement Club (TIC) was celebrated today at the club's hall in Thangmeiband Lilasing Khongnangkhong.

Speaking on the occasion, TIC secretary Yumnam Manglem said since its inception in 1955, the club has been actively involved in various welfare activities for the community.

Its initiatives include maintaining local cleanliness, promoting health awareness, and guiding the youth toward positive paths.

He shared that the club also organises various sports and cultural programs during the Yaoshang festival to encourage youth participation.

Manglem also emphasized the crucial role of a local club in a community, serving as a gathering point for residents to address issues and concerns.

Offering of floral tributes to the deceased founder members of the club was the main highlight of the event.
