Chandel, May 09 2026: The District Legal Services Authority, Chandel conducted the 2nd National Lok Adalat for the calendar year of 2026 for the districts of Chandel and Tengnoupal under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority and Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA).

Two benches were constituted for the 2nd Lok Adalat at CJM Chandel Complex and Moreh Court Complex.

Bench No 1 for Chandel was presided by DLSA Chandel Chairperson and District and Sessions Judge Chandel Binny Ngangom as Chairperson with Retainer Lawyer Langhu Saimon Anal and Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel Ngariyambam Salai Mangang as members.

For Moreh, Bench No 2 was presided by Judicial Magistrate First Class Moreh Fakhrul Islam Choudhary as Chairperson with SDPO Moreh Md Raju Khan and Advocate Jilkhochon Lhungdim as members.

A total of 13 cases were resolved during the National Lok Adalat, settling an amount of Rs 5,56,608, shared District Legal Services Authority Chandel secretary Phungreishung PA .
