Lions Clubs distributes essential items to relief camps in Kakching

Kakching, January 04 2026: As part of the ongoing Hunger Free Week observed from January 3 to 11, various Lions Clubs under Lions Clubs International District322D distributed essential food items to four relief camps in Kakching district on Sunday.

The initiative was jointly undertaken by the Lions Club of Thoubal, Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurion, Lions Club of Kakching Greater and Lions Club Kakching-Sugnu.

Essential items including rice, lentils, edible oil, potatoes, fish, chicken, and other food supplies were distributed to inmates of the Indoor Stadium Kakching Relief Camp, Old Age Home Kakching Relief Camp, SC Girls Hostel of Kha Manipur College Kakching, and Kha Manipur College Boys Hostel (Kakching Wairi Kongoi) .

The distribution drive was carried out in the presence of Lions Clubs International District 322D, District Chairperson (Hunger) Laimayum Upendra Sharma; Lions Club Region VII chairperson O Jugeshwar; Lions Clubs International Zone VI chairperson Uttam Kumar Naorem; Lions Club of Kakching Greater president Pukhrambam Ranakumar; secretary Yengkhom Tiken; Lions Club of Kakching-Sugnu president Dr Pukhrambam Krishnamohon Singh; Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurian president Y Guneshori; secretary M Neheshowori; Lions Club of Thoubal president K Michael, and secretary O Merna Devi.
