Home Minister inspects District Hospital Bishnupur for proposed upgradation to 200-bed facility

Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam today visited the District Hospital, Bishnupur, along with Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam and senior officials from various departments to assess the proposed expansion of the hospital from its present 50-bedcapacitytoamodem200-bed healthcare facility.
During the inspection, officials briefed the Minister on the infrastructure requirements and other necessary measures for the proposed upgradation.
Govindas Konthoujam reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the district and ensuring that quality medical services are accessible to the people at their doorstep.
The Minister stated that the proposed upgradation is a significant step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "One District, One Medical College".
He urged all concerned officials to perform their tasks with sincerity and dedication to ensure the successfill implementation of the project.
The Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur, along with representatives of CSOs, also joined the visit.
