Horticulture Department distributes vegetable seeds to progressive farmers

Imphal, April 02 2026: The Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur, distributed summer vegetable seeds and other essential inputs to progressive farmers under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme today.

The distribution programme, held at the Department's Conference Hall in Sanjenthong, was attended by Thaithuilung Pamei, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, and K Debadutta Sharma, Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, as the chief guest & president respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, K Debadutta emphasized the importance of geotagging and geo-mapping of beneficiaries via the Krishi Mapper Portal, in line with recent guidelines from the Ministry under MIDH.

Thaithuilung Pamei highlighted the necessity of adopting modem technologies to ensure transparency and proper selection of beneficiaries.

The initiative aimed to support genuine farmers and boost horticulture development across the State.
