Senapati conducts BLO, BLA training for SIR 2026

Senapati, May 27 2026: In connection with the Special IntensiveRevision(SIR)ofElec-toral Roll, 2026 with July 1, 2026 as the qualifying date, a meeting-cum-training programme for Booth Level Supervisors (BLSs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs)and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of 47-Karong ST Assembly Constituency, 48-Mao ST Assembly Constituency and 49-Tadubi ST Assembly Constituency was successfolly conducted today at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.

The programme was held under the supervision of the District Election Officer (DEO), Senapati and organised by the respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of the three Assembly Segments.

The training sessions were conducted by the EROs and master trainers of the three Assembly Segments, namely S Lunguiba Thangal, ERO of 47-Karong ST AC; Chovoni Kayina, CO of 48-Mao ST AC; and Sayia, CO of 49-Tadubi ST AC.

During the programme, the trainers outlined the tentative plans for SIR 2026 and provided systematic instructions to the trainees on updating the electoral roll with accurate field data and information for submission to the concerned EROs .

The officials also informed that all reports received through enumeration forms would be digitalised through the BLO App, compiled for draft publication and finalised after a designated period for filing claims and objections.

Emphasis was also laid on the role of Booth Level Supervisors in guiding and monitoring the BLOs during the revision process.

The trainers extended their best wishes to all the BLOs for the successful implementation of SIR 2026.The programme concluded with an interactive session on form filling procedures and the use of the BLO App.

Altogether, around 245 participants, including BLO Supervisors, BLOs and BLAs from the district's three Assembly segments, attended the training programme to ensure the smooth implementation of the SIR 2026 initiative.
