Moirang, October 26 2025: A felicitation ceremony was held today at the Regional Water Sports Complex, Sendra Road, to honour the three rowers who brought pride to the country by winning silver and bronze medals in the Senior Asian Rowing Championship 2025, held from October 13 to 19 at Hai Phong in Vietnam.

The felicitation ceremony organised by the Bishnupur District Rowing Association, was attended by Registrar of the National Sports University Manipur, Dr Laishram Dibamani; Bishnupur District Rowing Association president Oinam Nobin; Bishnupur District Olympic Association president Ningthoujam Mangi; and principal of Moirang College, N Joy, who graced the occasion as chief guest; president, and guests of honour respectively.

During the ceremony, silver medallist in the 2 km Men's Coxed Eight event of the championship, Maimom Kiran Singh; and bronze medallist in the 2 km Women's Coxed Eight event, Haobijam Tendenthoi; and Thangjam Priya who also took part in the competition, were felicitated along with their coach, Narengbam Luxmi.

They were presented with gifts, as encouragement in recognition of their achievements and dedication.
