Evergreen Flower's School marks golden jubilee in Thoubal

Thoubal, March 25 2026: Evergreen Flower's School, Thoubal Ningombam, celebrated its golden jubilee on Wednesday, marking 50 years of its contribution to education in the region.

The commemorative event was graced by former Chief Minister and MLA of Thoubal AC, Okram Ibobi Singh as chief guest; School Managing Committee president Huirongbam Ibohal Singh as functional president.

MLA Okram Surjakumar Singh; Chief Finance Officer of Manipur University of Culture, Md Ziour Rahman; and Asst Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner, Kakching, Okram Sandhvarani Devi, attended as guests of honour.

During the programme, dignitaries and attendees paid floral tributes to the portraits of the founding members and observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of the departed souls.

A golden jubilee souvenir of the school was also released on the occasion by the dignitaries.

The event further honoured three teachers in recognition of their dedicated service and longstanding contributions to the institution.

Addressing the gathering, O Ibobi Singh stated that the completion of 50 years reflects the school's significant role in enhancing education in the area.

He described the milestone as a matter of pride, achieved through the sacrifices and efforts of the founders.

Encouraging students, he emphasised that consistent hard work and determination are key to success, urging them to set clear goals and strive tirelessly to achieve them.
