Imphal, July 24 2025: Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) has obtained Form 12A under the Income Tax Act, enabling donors to claim income tax exemption through an 80G certificate, said member secretary of the board, Maisnam Shivadutta Luwang on Thursday.

Shivadutta made the announcement during the monthly meeting of the 10 units under the Temple Board, held on the last day of every lunar month at Lainingthou Sanamahi Shanglen at Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham.

He urged the public to extend generous support, either monetary or in kind, to help promote the Sanamahi temple and the indigenous religion of the Meeteis.

The event, marking the 17th such meeting, focused on reviewing and improving the duties and responsibilities of key functionaries within the 10 units of the board, including Pen Sakpa, Pung Thinba, Ishei Sakpa, Jagoi Saba, Maiba, and Amaibi.

Leaders and members of the 10 units took part in the discussions.

Functionaries who brought laurels to the religion in the previous month were also honoured during the meeting.

Plans and upcoming activities for the next month were deliberated at the meeting.
