Chandel, August 23 2025: A new book titled "The Chothes of Manipur" authored by PR Rengir Chothe, Assistant Professor of Political Science at the United College Lambung, Chandel, was formally released today at a function held at the Chumbang Community Hall.

The released programme was graced by United College Lambung, Chandel, principal Dr Solomon Nungchim as chief guest; along with Chothe Lim Abom Manipur (CLAM/ Chothe Tribe Union Manipur) president Malsawm Thao; Retd Associate Professor Kh Mobershing Monsang; JNV Chandel principal Dr Amarson Shankhil; PWD Manipur retd EE Ibohal Hiyang; ZEO Chandel Yumnam Hemchand; Chumbang village chief Kh Dohra, among others as dignitaries.

The event began with an invocation prayer led by Chothe Baptist Churches Association president Y Bicco, followed by a formal book release by Malsawn Thao, president of the CLAM/Chothe Tribe Union.

Author PR Rengir Chothe expressed gratitude to those who supported him in publishing the book.

He presented gifts as a token of appreciation and gave a brief review of the contents of the book to the gathering.
