Imphal, September 22 2025: The 4th death anniversary of Athuan Abonmai was observed today at the Athuan Abonmai Memorial Park, located in Grace Colony, Tarung, Imphal West district.

The memorial event organised under the aegis of Athuan Abonmai Memorial Park Committee was attended by leaders of Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs), members of Park Committee, family members, relatives and well-wishers.

As per a release issued by the Park Committee, Late Athuan Abonmai was a respected and visionary leader who also served as the president of the Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) .

He was assassinated on September 22, 2021 at Tamenglong District Headquarters.

During the solemn event, leaders of ZCOs, Park Committee, family members and well wishers thanked the Government of Manipur for fulfilling the terms of the MoU signed on October 6, 2021, specifically the establishment of a memorial park in honor of Late Athuan Abonmai.
