Aid extended to two hurt in accident

Imphal, July 20 2025: Two men injured in a road accident near Nungshang village in Kamjong district received immediate medical assistance from Assam Rifles personnel.

The victims, identified as Zamni (33) and Manyo (29), both residents of Nungshang, sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle collided with a pick-up vehicle approximately two kilometres from the village.

Locals transported the injured duo to the nearest Assam Rifles medical centre for treatment.

Medical personnel at the centre provided emergency care and stabilised both individuals.

The timely intervention helped prevent further complications.

Family members and villagers thanked the Assam Rifles for the swift response, said a PRO IGAR (S) release issued on Sunday.
