Blood donation camp held at Chakpikarong

Chandel, July 19 2026: The fourth edition of the Blood Donation Camp, organised by the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT), Imphal Branch, with the support of the ALT General Headquarters and ALT Chakpikarong Branch, was successfully held on Saturday at the Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong.

The camp was organised in association with Shija Blood Centre, Langol, with logistical support from Joyful Friends under the theme "One Roof, One Donor".

The initiative aims to ensure the timely availability of blood for patients in need while reducing the burden on families who often struggle to arrange replacement donors at hospitals in Imphal.

ALT Imphal Branch is also a partner of Helping Hands for People, Manipur, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service.

A total of 56 voluntary blood donors from various villages and localities, including Y/Khutha, Tampi, Thorcham, Khubung Khunou Novokom, Chakpikarong Village and Bazaar, Khumbung Khullen, Anal Khunou, Charongching, Nungpan, Dangkhu, Dutejol, Kanakangbung and Shangni, participated in the camp.

The organisers expressed gratitude to HL Lovingson, Special Contractor, KT Zechariah, former General Secretary of ALT, and ALT Chakpikarong Branch for sponsoring the event.

They also thanked the medical team from Shija Blood Centre, volunteers and all the voluntary blood donors for their contributions in making the humanitarian initiative a success.
