AR saves 130 children from food poisoning

Assam Rifles saved the lives of 130 children, including 22 boys and 108 girls, following a severe food poisoning outbreak at Eklavya School, Moreh in Tengnoupal district on November 17 .
The Assam Rifles medical team immediately swung into action after being alerted by the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Moreh and rushed to the site with essential medical supplies, said an IGAR (S) press release.
In a remarkable display of dedication and quick response, Assam Rifles saved the lives of 130 children (22 boys and 108 girls) on 17 November 2024, following a severe food poisoning outbreak at Eklavya School, Moreh, Tengnoupal District.
Guided by the Assam Rifles Medical Officer and in coordination with the Tengnoupal Chief Medical Officer, the team worked tirelessly alongside PHC staff to stabilize the affected children.
Personnel from Moreh Battalion of Assam Rifles ensured seamless coordination and effective care.
The joint effort by Assam Rifles and medical authorities resulted in the timely stabilization of all 130 young lives, turning a potential tragedy into a testament of hope and resolve.
