Imphal, July 17 2025: The Bar Council of Manipur has notified that Nazia Sultana, Advocate who has been enrolled as an Advocate on October 30, 2015 and whose name was entered on the Roll of Advocates of the Council bearing Roll No 49 of 2015 has been reprimanded under Section 35(3)(b) of the Advocates Act, 1961 with strict warning not to indulge in such activities in future, failing thereof she may face serious consequences.

In a release, the Bar Council of Manipur stated that Nazia Sultana, Advocate has been reprimanded in pursuance of an Order dated July 14, 2025 passed in Disciplinary Case No 5 of 2025 (Suo-Motu Case) by the Disciplinary Committee-II of the council.

"Further she is imposed with a fine of Rs 5,000 only to be deposited in Advocates Welfare Fund Trustee Committee, within a period of one month failing which she may be debarred from engaging into practice as an Advocate", it added.
