Imphal, May 17 2026: Two organisations in Imphal held felicitation programmes this week to honour meritorious students and Manipur Civil Services qualifiers.

Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) on Saturday felicitated MPSC Civil Services qualifiers, board position holders, and high-scoring Class X and XII students of Thangmeiband AC at a function held at Khoyathong Multipurpose Community Hall.

The event honoured four MPSC rankers - Irungbam Meken (4th), Ninthoujam Niranjana (13th), Miranda Mongbijam (33rd), and Khelena Bachaspatimayum (58th).Also honoured were Maibam Yogyata, 8th position holder in Arts in HSE 2026; seven NEET (UG) 2023 qualifiers; and several Class X students with high marks in the HSLC examination.

"Do not let anyone disrupt schools or education in Thangmeiband for unjustified reasons.

Report to me if such obstructions occur", Thangmeiband AC MLA Khumukcham Joykisan said, adding that those creating hurdles in students' learning will be dealt with firmly.

He said education alone can help Manipur rise above other states, noting that TAKDO has been conducting free coaching camps and supporting residential schooling for IDP and local students.

"Peace, progress and unity is TAKDO's motto.

If we follow it Manipur will develop", he added.

Youth Future Organisation (YFO) on Sunday felicitated Jashalaya Devi Arambam, who secured 11th rank in the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination 2022, at a function held at Langthabal Mantrikhong Awang Leikai Community Hall.

Students from the club's area who cleared the recent Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were also honoured with gifts and certificates during the programme.

Prof Yensembam Kunjabihari Singh, HOD of Manipuri Department, DMU, attended as chief guest.

Ararpbam Iboyaima Singh, Arambam Rajen Singh and Arambam Memcha Devi were guests of honour.
